Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India, while numbering over 1,600, largely remain focused on providing backend resources and functional support to their parent organizations. PRB Partners, through a series of interventions grounded in three years of research across 40 GCCs in BFSI, retail, manufacturing, and technology, has been working to help these centres redefine their roles as innovation hubs and value creators.
Our curriculum draws on case studies of successful GCCs worldwide and addresses the specific challenges that impede progress along the GCC maturity curve. Tailored interventions for senior leaders have focused on enabling a deeper understanding of global and local business trends, developing competitive advantages, fostering strategic partnerships, and creating integrated strategies for innovation and growth. Participants engage with actionable insights to align their centers with evolving business needs and to drive sustained organizational success.
A key feature of these programs has been the emphasis on leveraging local ecosystems, building collaborative strategies, and rethinking talent acquisition and retention to meet the demands of a shifting landscape. Leaders have emerged with roadmaps tailored to their unique contexts, focusing on capability investments, ecosystem collaboration, and transformative growth strategies.
The response to these interventions has been overwhelmingly positive. Senior leaders have praised the relevance and depth of the curriculum, requesting more extended programs to delve further into these strategies. Early indicators show promising outcomes, as GCCs begin to implement their roadmaps for value-driven transformation. These efforts mark a pivotal step in elevating GCCs from support functions to engines of innovation and strategic growth.
